Young Adult Ministry

Through worship, mission, study, and fellowship, we are finding God’s wholeness for each other and, guided by the Holy Spirit,
seek to share it with our community and the world.

Young Adult Ministry Committee

Our committee seeks to empower faith communities to fulfill their baptismal promises to young adults and to discern and grow the spiritual gifts of younger generations in our presbytery.

The Young Adult Ministry Committee is comprised of three working groups
each focused on different aspects of our collective ministry.

Programs Working Group hosts worship, fellowship, study, and mission events for young adults across the presbytery. Keep an eye on the presbytery e-News and Facebook page for more information about upcoming programs!

Fellowship Working Group seeks to build and maintain relationships with young adults who are temporarily living within Grace Presbytery (for college, as Young Adult Volunteers, camp staff, and more) who are searching for a new faith community, or who otherwise seek faith-based connection.

Congregational Support Working Group seeks to partner with individual faith communities to collaborate in young adult ministry. This includes partnership grants distributed on a monthly basis.

To learn more about any of these groups, or the partnership grant, please email us.

Serving Opportunity

Young Adult Volunteers

The Young Adult Volunteer (YAV) program is an ecumenical, faith-based year of service for young people, ages 19-30, that takes place in 22 sites throughout the United States and around the world. YAVs accompany local agencies working to address root causes of poverty and reconciliation
while exploring the meaning and motivation of their faith
in intentional community with peers and mentors.

Young Adult Volunteers serve during the academic year, August to July. Program benefits during the YAV year include a regular stipend, housing, transportation assistance and student-loan repayment options for the duration of their service year.

Follow @yavprogram on Instagram and Twitter for updates and consider applying today!
