Transitions in Grace Presbytery Director of Communication
Grace Presbytery, in response to feedback from presbyters over the last year is seeing some changes in its area of Communications.
Rob Allen, Director of Communication for almost 13 years, is leaving the staff effective September 30. He has felt the desire to explore a new call and this transition allows him to pursue it. Members of Grace Presbytery will have an opportunity to wish Rob well and express their appreciation to him at the the October 1st presbytery meeting at First Presbyterian Church, Richardson. Personnel Committee Moderator, Tom Gibbons, will express the Presbytery’s appreciation to Rob on our behalf as well as the opportunity for information comments to be made to Rob.
Judy Ramos will be joining the staff as Director of Communication, effective September 14. Judy brings with her a wealth of communication strategy and involvement, having served for the last 14 years as Director of Communication for the Hurst-Euless-Bedford (HEB) Independent School District. Prior to that time, she worked in a similar capacity with the City of Arlington Convention and Visitors’ Bureau. She will work with Grace Presbytery 25 hours per week, some of the time in the office and some writing and interviewing from home. Judy brings with her extensive experience in writing media relations, and in creating community partnerships through the “adopt a school program.”
Prior to coming to Grace Presbytery, Judy was Director of Communications with the Corpus Christi Convention and Visitors’ Bureau, and also was a newspaper reporter in Corpus Christi.
