Presbytery Meeting – Legacy to get help as they plan its first building

by Rob Allen
Director of Communications

Legacy Presbyterian Church of Frisco, presbytery’s newest congregation, was chartered last November. Meeting at Carroll Elementary School for several years as a New Church Development (NCD), each Sunday morning, the congregation brings in a trailer of materials and equipment for Sunday School and worship and tears it down at its conclusion.

Presbytery has started the process to help Legacy fund its first building phase. On March 7, Presbytery authorized the Administrative Commission on Property to sell the current property on El Dorado Parkway set aside for site development and purchase property on Legacy Boulevard. The presbytery would use some of the net proceeds from the two transactions to fund a significant portion of Legacy’s first building phase.

On March 22 at 3:00 p.m, Glen Hunihan, the organizing pastor, will be installed as Legacy’s first pastor. Carroll Elementary School is located at 4380 Throne Hall Dr in Frisco.
