Kilgore Installation Service: Rev. Will Wilson

Rev. Will Wilson spent most of his life in the southern Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina. He grew up calling Asheville home.

Will holds a Bachelor of Arts in Philosophy and Biblical Studies from Montreat College and a Master of Divinity from Princeton Theological Seminary.

“Attending Montreat was a game changer for me,” says Will.

“I’m a first-generation college student, and the only reason I wanted to go to college was so that I could enroll in seminary.”

By the time First Presbyterian Church of Kilgore called Rev. Wilson to his new position as lead pastor in May of this year, the committee had been engaged in the search nearly three years.

“It is very exciting, and humbling, to be asked to join in the wonderful work that God is already doing through First Presbyterian Church. Our goal is to offer all people a deeper faith and hope in Christ through worship, faith-formation, education and mission.”

“I firmly believe that Jesus Christ will be our focus as we embark on this wonderful journey of discipleship together!”

The worship service of installation for Rev. Will Wilson will take place Sunday, September 30 at 4:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Kilgore.
