The annual Review of Session Minutes will be held on Sunday, February 14, 2010 at 2:30 p.m. A list of host sites for the review is available here. You should be able to find a location convenient to your church. Here is the procedure:

1. Examine your own session minutes using the enclosed checklist. Complete your part of the heading on the green sheet, and the page numbers for all sections of question 2. This will simplify the review process.

2. If your session has not yet done so, review the church registers using the guide also enclosed for your convenience. The session is required to review the register and this should be recorded in the minutes. (see question 2n.)

3. You (Clerk or Moderator) and another elder take your 2009 session minutes to the meeting in your area. Be prepared to read and check the session minutes of another church. Use THEIR green sheet to make a report. As you review the minutes, please discuss any exceptions you may note with the clerk or elder from that church. THIS REVIEW IS INTENDED TO HELP ALL SESSIONS PREPARE MINUTES OF THEIR MEETINGS SO THAT THEY CONFORM TO CONSTITUTIONAL REQUIREMENTS.

4. Plan to share responses to the questions on the back of the green sheet. THIS IS TO ENCOURAGE SHARING AMONG THE CONGREGATIONS OF OUR PRESBYTERY of the areas of ministry and mission.

5. When your minutes have been reviewed, initial the bottom of the record form. Then a sticker with the reviewer’s signature will be placed in your book following the record of the last meeting of 2009. All the green sheets (with exceptions noted by the reviewer) will be sent by the Host church to the Presbytery Office for compilation and recording.
