Rev. Dr. Blair Monie, Pastor Emeritus of Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas, has reached the end of his battle with pancreatic cancer and entered the Church Triumphant.
“Please remember Cyndy Monie in your prayers, and the many people in Blair’s life who were empowered in their faith by his words and friendship,” said Rev. Jan DeVries, General Presbyter of Grace Presbytery and longtime friend to the Monies. “We also pray for Rev. Matthew Ruffner and the staff at Preston Hollow as they minister to the congregation.”
“God is in the midst of us and surrounds us with the affection of community and the power of the Holy Spirit. We thank God for Blair’s life and ministry.”
A Service of Witness to the Resurrection will take place Saturday, November 17 at 2:00 p.m. at Preston Hollow Presbyterian Church in Dallas.
“As you leave this place
may the living Lord go with you;
May he go behind you, to encourage you,
beside you, to befriend you,
above you, to watch over you,
beneath you, to lift you from your sorrows,
within you, to give you the gifts of faith, hope, and love,
and always before you, to show you the way.”
