Grace Presbytery welcomes Rev. Rosy Robson

Rev. Rosy Robson was an active participant in Presbyterian Campus Ministry during her time as an undergraduate student at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

She also served as a youth intern at Chapel in the Pines Presbyterian Church and spent four summers on staff at Montreat Conference Center.

Following her graduation from UNC, Rosy continued to feel God’s call toward ministry and began studies at Union Presbyterian Seminary in Richmond, Virginia in the fall of 2014. At Union she earned two graduate degrees: a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Christian Education.

Beginning with a match made via the Church Leadership Connection database, Rosy and First Presbyterian Church of Richardson became friends and progressed through interviews and visits to Texas. First Presbyterian called her as the church’s new Associate Pastor in April.

“Am I allowed to say that I have the dream first call? The people at FPCR are enthusiastic about loving others through their worship and witness in the world as they strive to follow in Christ’s footsteps. They are also excited to try new things, to be good neighbors in the Richardson community, and to deepen their relationships with one another and with God. It’s just the kind of congregation I’m excited to be a part of!”

Rev. Robson’s installation service is scheduled for Sunday, October 14 at 1:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Richardson.
